The Floating Hospital is one of the first healthcare charities in NYC, dedicated to caring for the sick children of families living in tenement homes. They have remained a true charity, offering healthcare to those whose circumstances make it difficult to access affordable or no-cost health services.

The Floating Hospital approached us to create a brand identity and exhibition for a charity walk event. This event is a family-friendly month-long event to raise funds and awareness in support of healthcare access for families experiencing homelessness in New York City. A key approach to the design was the juxtaposition of the Queensboro bridge with the “soul” of a sneaker. This visual reinforces the overall thesis to invite participants to walk with Floating Hospital to support this charitable legacy. We created every aspect of the non-profit brand’s bold visual identity, making sure it appealed to the sensibilities of families whose participation in this event is critical in raising awareness for this charity.
