The Fashion Institute of Technology, a world renown school for art and business, showcases the work of graduating students across the campus. This show presents the work of students graduating in 16 areas of study from the School of Art and Design. The art is the culmination of every student’s unique experience in FIT’s diverse, challenging, and demanding undergraduate Art and Design programs. Featuring juried, award-winning, and thesis projects, this show represents several years of research, experimentation, critical thinking, and artistic development. The Graduating Student Exhibition advances the college’s applied philosophy, which integrates industry practice with theory and teaching inside the studio.

We developed the branding for FIT’s 2019 Graduating Student Exhibition to consist of 16 characters that spell out the phrase “Art and Design 2019”. Each character is made from a printout of a graduating student’s school work, showcased in a folded letter. All 16 majors are represented within the phrase “Art and Design 2019”. The perfect coincidence.

The collateral material to advertise this event consisted of posters displayed throughout the campus.  Banners hanging off the streets surrounding the school.  A brochure highlighting each major and a poster displayed outside an individual major’s exhibition.
